I have an overhead factory DVD player that I am trying to install in my Explorer XLS.  I do not have the higher level radio or the body harnesses to connect it.  Can anyone provide pinout information so that I can build my own harness.

I do have the harness that goes from the player to the connector.

I have determined the following pinouts so far DVD harness to Body connector.

Pin 1 Black=Grnd

Pin 2 not used

pin 3 Blck/Lblue= ?

Pin 4 GREEN/ Blck=?

Pin 5 Lblue/Pink=? Data A but I am not sure

Pin 6 Lbrown=? Data B not sure either.

Pin 7 not used

Pin 8 Brown Orange

Pin 9 Black Shielded=?  Audio Grnd

Pin 10 Red=?

Pin 11 White=?

Pin 12 Orange=?

Pin 13 Yellow=?

Pin 14 not used

Pin 15 not used

Pin 16 WHITE/ Yellow= 12v

I have applied power to the player.  It will accept a DVD and spin it for 10 sec.  However the eject buttons/ other buttons and LCD do not function.

I am not interested in connecting to the vehicles audio however it would be nice to know how.

Any help would be appreciated
