I just helped a friend of mine put an overhead drop down monitor into his parents 05 Durago...Its an accele I cant remember the model num....

We pulled power for the door light on the monitor from the Dome light in the VERY rear of the durango the monitor is in front of the second row of seats where the is NO Dome light....

the prob is when you open the doors the dome lights come on but they are all really dim....I even unpluged the REAR dome light and they are still dim (The front light and the monitor that is)....But when you switch the monitors to the ON position it is bright because it has its own source of power....

What can I do to get door pin switch power to the monitor without tapping the dome light and making them dim...

OK, do you guys know each other, or did someone change names or what the f**k. One person posts the questions I reply and someone else answers the reply. I am confused. Check and make sure there is no dim setting in the menu and if all else fails try jumping the trigger wire to power and see if it lights up bright. You may just need a relay to boost signal.
