Hi, I got a good deal off Ebay on a navigation system from a 2004 Acura RL and the Bose radio with the 6-disk in-dash changer.  I'm trying to put it in my '97 RL.  I don't have a Bose system in my '97 and I think the Bose radio only gives line-level outs.  I know this isn't going to be a plug-n-play job...  Does anyone have ANY informtion on the 2004 Bose head unit or the navigation system - particularly, does the nav system connect to and pull any info from the cars main ecu (such as speed)?  ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!  Thanks.

The navi gives u the speed on the fly..it does not pull it from the ECU. If you have used an handheld one such as a PDA, u will understand this.

The problem with the Bose system is that they use proprietary amplified speakers.  If you don't have these speakers alredy in your car, there is nothing you can do except find the OEM speakers somewhere that will cost you a small fortune.  You could possibly try taking the output from the deck into a line level converter and hen into an amp, I don't think that will work.  But then again, I've never tried it.
