in dash install help

my friend just picked up a in dash lcd tv and we were testing it with a power pack and it doesn't power on???
the screen only slides out, but doesn't moves upright position nor power on.??

there are 4 wires to it
red, black, yellow, blue.

i searched and found something about vss or something, can someone give me more info on it?

we trying grounding the blue wire, that didn't work either.

this will go into a 92 honda civic.

what brand and model indash are you trying to install

In " GENERAL " yellow is constang, red is acc, black is ground, and blue would be a remote turn on output.

I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.

i have installed deck before, so i know the basic wiring.

i know red is +12v acc, yellow is +12v constant, and black is ground.

but i have no idea what to do with the blue.
with those 3 wires connected, i could only get the screen to slides out, but not move upright position nor power on the screen.

Put the blue wire to the +12V acc (key in ignition for power on)
Otherwise, hook to 12V constant to test.

Don't forget the fuse!

maybe you have to lift it up like the old kenwoods

Grounding the "blue" wire would be a bad idea. Since I have never heard of this particular brand, maybe internal gyro? Steady the unit at horizontal to make the screen comes on. Or, maybe parking brake wire is not grounded/attached? It may be pink or green, check the install manual. When you find it, just ground it to the car's ground wire.
