mounting DVD player

Are there any recommendations on a good place to mount a dvd player in a 05 Mazda Tribute? Other than the seat of course. Looking for more creative alternatives.

Look around. Under the seat is usually the best place (theft prevention, ease of disc changing, out of the way of traffic). Trust me, with mobile video installs, ease of install means ease of uninstall when something goes wrong. Do it the easy way and be done with it.

Do you have to mount the player in view that the remote can see it or do all lcd screens able to control the players no matter where they are installed. New to mobile video excuse my stupidity.

Alot of players come with a remote sensor for the remote control. Generally speaking a remote has to be in line of sight because it uses infrared light signals. I not aware of any screens that will let you control the player as well, only the screen functions, but I'm still learning about the video part as well.

visualogic makes dual headrest screens that run a wire from the back the dvd (where the remote eye normally plugs in) to the brain box of the headrest system, that way you can just point your dvd remote at the screens and it will work..

If your player is one that comes with the remote sensor so that you can "Hide-A-Way" Mount the thing....I have always likes the glovebox...Make a nice flushing piece and sink it in there....I havent seen the inside of one of these vehicles but if the center console is large enough to allow it....Make a hole in the side of it and install it to the passenger side of the center console...Or install it into the inside of the armrest if its big enough...

There are lots of really good places to put equipment but most of the really good ones take a little more time and work to make them happen
