I am getting ready to install an avic n-1....I have searched and found that the speed sensor for 2002 excursion is gray\black....is this the same on the 2001? and I have a factory 6 disc in dash unit....I have read that the wire can be found around the radio.....any comments

I am also going to install a truspeed calibrator (due to oversized tires) where do I install this in the speed sensor line?

I used the gray/black wire located on my factor cruise control unit under the hood on the right side. Pin number 3 is the VSS.
