hey i was installing my cva 1005 and just playing around with it when either the yellow/black or yellow/blue wire touched something. now my deck wont turn on or anything??? im a total newbie at this and not sure what just happened???
thanks for the help
those two wire you play around with to bypass the security features
If you are getting no power to the unit at all....
First check the fuses in the cars fuse box....Depending on the car there may also be a fuse box under the hood....
Then if thats not it check your connections...Make sure one or more have not pulled loose...
Then check the fuse on the rear of the HU itself....
If thats not it...Ummmm....Get a chicken and a sharp knife...Kill the chicken pull out the feathers...lay them around the HU on the ground and sprinkle the chicken blood onto the unit and pray.....
But probally one of the first 3 will be your problem...

haha thanks i checked the fuse on the back of the unit but nothing else ill check tonight thanks for the responce by the way its a 91 mr2 dont know if that makes a diff
I have s similar problem. The unit was playing this morning and it was closed but it woudlnt respond to any commands via the remote or the face. I checked the fuse on the deck and its good. I have done a reset and unplugged the brain. Is my cva dead or am I missing something? It has no lights no nothing. When I unplugged the brain the changer cycled through the cd's and I imagine it would play but its most likley in pause. Thank for ANY suggestions!!!!
get rid of the 1005 i had that unit and it was garbage i had so many problems with it.
