I would like to know how do I wire my unit so I can have video playing while I drive? I don't want to hook up a bypass. I know it has been posted on here before, but I'm new to this so if someone could explain it to me in detail or as simple as you can that would be helpful. I want to hook it up correct the first time. If you have a diagram that would be the best. Thanks

It's quite simple really, all you need is a momentary push button switch and a toggle switch. Connect the wire for the brake pedal switch coming out of the brain (the cpu for the iva-c800) (can't remeber the colors) to one side of the momentary switch and connect the other side to 12+. Make sure the brain only sees 12+ when you press the switch. Next connect the wire for the e-brake coming out of the brain to one side of the toggle switch and connect a grounded wire to the other side. Alpine has a little dance you must do in order to see video. Press and hold the momentary push button supplying 12+ to the brain, then flip the toggle on then off then on then off, then release the button. I tried to explain it as simple as possible. Hope it helps. But remeber to use caution when driving and viewing.

There is an easier way than Z28 says, all you have to do is hook up everything like it says in the manual, except connect the foot brake wire (Yellow\Blue) to either a pin switch that is grounded, or a toggle switch that goes to ground. Turn everything on, hold the foot brake, hit or flip the switch a few times, then release the foot brake. Voila! You've got video in motion! You can even turn the video on after you are in motion, by gently applying the brake while moving and repeating the procedure. This works well after you pass the man and had to turn your video off, and you don't wan't to pull over to turn it back on.
