cant get the bypass too work on alpine cva1005 in a 02 wrx. i've got two switches cause i cant find the foot brake lead wire... so ive connected the yellow and blue wire to power(foot brake lead) with a toggle switch in line. now my e brake is connected to and other toggle switch and in line with hand brake wire. now i've got the video to work while my e brake is on but when i take it off i lose video. is this because i've gotta connect the foot brake wire to the switch and in line with the ground wire? thnx

on the e brake line try hooking up to ground wire instead of the e brake. so that is toggles on and off to the ground wire.
