Pioneer Avnc 2

One of our installlers is trying to get video to play while driving yes he nows it's illegal but so is speeding but everybody does it. We can not do this on customers vehicles but on our personal one we can. The gyro scope inside is keeping you from tricking the unit that is in park. If the GPS antenna is not plugged in you can watch video going down the road. If there is anybody that is figured out a trick to bypass this if you could let me know. It's to much of a pain to unplug the GPS antenna everytime you want to watch video.

My Kenwood PNAV-815 navigation is set up to use the parking brake ground signal to allow video to be seen in the head unit. If you just go straight to ground with this wire you can watch movies while driving on the main screen or zone, the second zone is unaffected. After a bit of research, it seems that this is a new feature of the newer model and it is meant to be that way for safety reasons. I guess they don't want any video available to the driver while the car is moving for liability reasons, too bad, I was thinking of getting one of those units for my other car but now I might have to reconsider.

Personally I think you are going to see almost all of the indash units go this direction being that it just covers their ass and no one wants to be held accountable for some moron not paying attention to the road and running some poor family of four into a road sign. With that said, to my knowledge there is no bypass module yet, but I am sure its comming.

you can use the rear camera input to bypass the unit safety.

Just a thought guys. It kinda defeats the purpose on buying a all-in-one unit but what if you add a stand alone dvd player to play thur the rear camera inputs. I haven't installed the new unit but this is what I was going to try when I do install one because my customers will not buy a unit that won't do in-motion video

The rear camera input will only do a split screen with the Navi.

Well, what is worse a distracted driver or speeding? Which one causes more accidents? Sure everyone speeds, and yes everyone gets distracted driving. But the distraction isn't usually someone glued to the tv.

I could really care less about watching video while driving... but often times, I let my "copilot" enter nav info or search for poi's and that sort of thing.  from what I understand, you'll be unable to do any of that while in motion as well...  I can understand Pioneer disabling video capabilities while driving, but the Nav functions should be accessable....
