Hello all - yesterday I installed the AVIC-N2 into my Yukon.  Everything went smoothly so far.  I haven't tried any video applications yet, but music and Nav are working great.  However, I also have the XDV-P90 6 disc DVD Changer.  When looking through the install manuals, they don't describe how to hook up these two pieces, they only talk about these two when a TV Tuner is involved in the mix.  Anyone know how to install these two without the TV Tuner?

Thanks for any insight you can give!

The 90 runs to the brain. The plug is color coded and will only fit one way. Look at the plug and then look at the brain, you will see what I mean. It won't be too hard.

Thx for the reply - that was what I thought as well, but it isn't working right.  On the DVD Changer, there is an IP BUS IN and an IP BUS OUT.  I'm using the OUT, would you say this is correct?  In addition, on the brain, there is an IP BUS IN and another AV BUS as well...  I'm using the IP BUS IN.  Do I need to run any of the yellow video cables?  How about the red and white RCA?  Should it all run through the IP BUS cables?

Thanks for the help!

No need to run the A/V cables. If I am not mistaken you still need to buy the CD-AB300. It is the AV cable to link the changer to the brain. I believe you need that to control the changer. You will also need CD-R99 remote to be able to control it. I know this because I have the same thing, plus the TV Tuner, XM Tuner, 12 Disc Changer and soon adding the new Ipod interface. Lots of fun!!!!

Okay, so I got the CD-AB300 cable per Pioneer's recommendation as well. I've got the IP Bus cable hooked up between the brain and the changer and now the CD-AB300 cable hooked up between the brain and the changer as well.  However, I still don't get anything out of it.  The power does turn on using the remote, but not with the head unit.   I've tried switching the changer from IP BUS mode to Standalone mode, but no change.   When it's working properly, which icon should light up  on the source screen?   Any settings I'm missing here?

Thanks!

Mine is flush mounted, so I can't look at my changer. Is there a switch on there someplace, I can't remember. Also, you may need to go into the settings menu of you N1 and turn on one of the inputs. I will look at mine and see if you are missing anything and let you know. Keep up posted.

12v_rep - were you able to see anything on your unit?  I've called Pioneer (they were supposed to call me back and didn't last week), and I've also emailed them.  Once I hear back I'll post it for anyone else that may need it.

Thanks again!

There is nothing in the switching in the headunit that I seen. If you want to PM me a number to call you at I will see if I can walk you through it somehow.
