hey i have a panasonic 8300 head unit and its has the motion picture stuff or whatever, but i was wondering what aux means because i can switch it over to aux mode or something. does that mean i can hook up a dvd to it? thanks.

It stands for auxillary input. Basically if you had an mp3 player, ipod, or needed to run the audio of a dvd player then that is what it would be used for.

so could i run it with a flip up unit. Im looking into getting a alpine cva 1004. would it work together and how? I dont know much about this so if you could inform me a little bit about it that would be great. im looking to be able to watch dvds in my truck. thanks
