The X-box has a Ac->DC converter in it like most pcs, so a dc-dc psu should do the trick, check the wattage.

Thanks for the quick reply, i searched the internet for awhile this morning before work for a dc/dc power supply. If you know of a good site where i could buy one from that would be great. Im goin to check ebay after work.

afrocow, what kind of inverter are u using? is it a modified sine wave inverter or pure sine wave inverter? and how many watts is it?

also, what does the dc-dc psu do? does it store power? how do u connect it? thanks

IM using one of those cheap ones from canadian tire. It says it can power a tv plus a game console. Im sure it could handle that, i am just lookin for a way to play while my truck is off. so should i just run an extra battery or is there a way i could use my farad cap or what. and with the dc/dc psu im guessing you would hook it up like an amp? im not too sure tho.
