I have the AVIC-N1.  Will the 1.2 version disable my video???  I have version 1.1 and it works fine.  I play cartoons on it for my baby.  It keeps her entertained.

If that is the version from the newest pioneer navigation unit, I heard that if you download that into the avic-n1, when you hit ten miles per hour the video cuts out.

No, 1.2 was released last year. The new update software you may want to avoid is not due out until June.

If the disc is actually labeled ' Version 1.2.  CNDV-40MT(WEST)'  then this is the most recent update specifically for the AVIC-N1. It does not have the video lockout of the N2. The next upgrade step would be to the disc set that the N2 uses(better maps, XM Traffic, etc.)

Went on road test today w/salesman with N2 installled. Maps are a lot more accurate than the N1.

Thank you.  Yeah, the maps with the N-1 are not that great but I guess it will do for now.
