Subject: New Pioneer AVIC Question

I have a friend that recently purchased the most recent Pioneer AVIC.  He indicated that his installation shop did not know of a way to watch DVD's while driving.

Sounds like Pioneer did something similar to Alpine where you can't just throw the brake wire to ground.

Does anyone know of any way to bypass this?

Better put your flame suit on.

Always check info with a digital multimeter.
I promise to be good.
Tell Darwin I sent you.

I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.

Damn it, If I see this question asked one more time I am just gonna open fire. Is it so damn hard to use the search feature, or for that matter scroll half way down the damn screen. This is probally the tenth time this has come up in the last 3 weeks and its rediculous. YOU CANT PROPERLY BYPASS IT AND EVEN IF YOU COULD THEN NO ONE ON HERE IS GOING TO TELL YOU HOW AND IF SOMEONE POSTS IT IT IS GONNA BE DELETED. This is stupid and is a pointless conversation. Read Auex sig, its the best thing going today.

Guys, don't get so bent out of shape over this issue.  It's not worth it.  Bare in mind this is a DAMN forum where it's optional to read and reply, ITS NOT REQUIRED U RESPOND.  Some of the responses sound like I'm stealing money from your shop for advise.

Thanks anyway......

Trav, in all fairness this question has been beaten to death. I myself have pretty much gave up answering it. Raven is right about a new question popping up on this same topic almost every day there for a while. Jeff did a good thing by making his a sticky, which was up after you made this thread.

As for your question. The shop was right and it is a lot more complicated than the "Alpine Method". Simply explain to your friend that he will need to buy something else if he wants video while in motion.
