I have a power acoustik dvd player in my car. i didnt install it, but had a question about the installation. when i turn my car off, and then turn it back on, the dvd player resets to the beginning of the disc and starts over. is this normally what happens, or is there a wrong installation of the wires. it doesn't remember where i left it at. thanks for the help.

Some DVD's do not have a memory built into the circuit board. The early models of the Alpine ( DVA 5200 ) had the same problem about holding it's memory after the power was turned off.
