Hi, i have a 1999 model ford focus 1.8 Zetec.

I wish to install a sat nav system (maybe the ford 9000vnr system). What i need to know is where the speed pulse signal wire is located and what colour it is.

hope you can help

You could try this "VSS Lead WHITE/ Blue Right Rear Pillar in Trunk at PCM ". It is for a 2000 but it is all I could find.

Check for a WHITE/ green wire at the back of the radio, or a WHITE/ violet wire at the computer in the passenger kick panel. I believe it's in pin 28 but I could be wrong. The wire in the pass kick is a pain to access at the computer though.
