I've got a guy with a used Tahoe, 03 model, that had a Rosen overhead monitor when he bought it, but apparently somebody got everything else out before it was sold. I didn't see a model number on the monitor but it looks similar to a CV7080D except it's a monitor only with integrated rear A/C controls. The question I have is the only connections that are obvious are under the rear seat, a yellow 13-pin cable and a pair of RCA's, black and red. I'm guessing the yellow cable is a control cable and the RCA's are sound. I have found an amplifier that appears to have a 13-pin connector similar to this one, a DA-230I. Anybody have any clue about what I need to get him up and running? I haven't had any luck finding a Rosen website, only resellers online with no detailed info.

Here's their website:

https://www.rosenentertainment.com

From your description I would think the main cable goes from the monitor to a power supply or directly into a dvd player, and the rca's come up front to an FM modulator. Good luck,

Mike

Thanks, I found the website. They show a CV-4026 power supply module which the yellow cable connects to and takes RCA's in/out. But they don't list this as a separate item. I'm still searching for one online. I found a dealer 30 miles away. Probably be Tuesday before I can contact them.

Well, I've been in contact with my local "dealer" and that hasn't been a real big help. So I called Rosen tech support and found out what I need,  but Rosen said it would be at least 4 wks. if then. Any way what I need is a CV-4026 power supply module (as I has originally suspected) After contacting dealers in 150 mi. radius, I found several had dropped Rosen because of this very problem, unable to get parts. I'm thinking there has got to be a way to adapt to this proprietary cable and get hooked up without all this hassle. Anybody got any suggestions short of buying a whole new system? A pinout on the din cable would be a great starting point but I haven't been able to find anything myself. It's a 13 pin round connector which is the only cable to the overhead unit, carrying A/V, power, and I'm not sure what else. HELP!!!!!!

Still trying to find a way to get this thing hooked up without a Rosen power supply. I had one dealer tell me that he thought I could just cut the cable of and hook up a different brand system, but after talking to Rosen tech support about the pinout on the 13-pin DIN connector, I'm a little apprehensive about doing this because they said there are some voltages other than 12V. Of course they couldn't give me any more info because it's a proprietary system. In other words you'll wait on us to send you parts because you don't have an option. I hate this type of attitude by manufacturers. I know I will absolutely never recommend anyone buying a system from Rosen.

So anyway, still need some help if anybody has any info. I'm sure it can be done but I don't want to take a chance on damaging what may or may not be a good monitor by putting 12V on a possibly 5V circuit or something along that line.

I wouldn't cut the cable, you can also use a rosen PDM module, the yellow cable plugs into the pdm module and you would have to get ahold of a rosen pink/green cable to plug into the pdm and that would go to your source dvd unit. The rca's you have coming from the screen would be the audio feed from the blue cable which you do not have that would go from the pdm to a modulator, the audio from the blue cable feeds the IR's for the screen/wireless headphones. You can e-mail me at ronb@electrasound.com if you have any questions or if I can be of any help.
