Hey does anyone know why installing a wired FM modulator cuts off the AM stations?

because it disconnects the antenna input to the radio, most radios use a common input for am and fm tuner sections.

is there any way to fix that? Would Wireless Modulators make a difference?

yes, a wireless modulator/ transmitter would eliminate that problem.

so ur saying that the modulators with on off switches will help that, even tho the antena connection is still going trough the modulator?
