Hi, i have a 1998 Mercury grand marquis. I wanted to instal 2 monitors and a dvd player separate from my Stereo system( if possible) . In my Backseat, i have an armrest that comes down from the seat. I wanted to put a monitor in the actual armrest. I dont think thats that much of a problem, But i wanted to know, is it possible to get a monitor that shows a picture in mirror image so i can watch it from my rearview if i want? Also, can i have a dvd player separee from my head unit, or should i just get a good head unit that takes dvds and has video outputs for 2 monitors? (any suggestions?) thanks , also remember, im a novice.

I'm kind of wondering why you would want to watch movies in your rear view mirror.
If you have a good location for the dvd player, then you can put it in without using the stereo system.
If it were me, (god knows why it would be), and I had a good stereo, I would want the DVD hooked up to that to make my DVD's sound better.

yes you can can get monitor with a mirror image, but you do not want to be driving and try to watch tv at anytime and especially through a rearview mirror. I have an alpine headunit and it has an aux input through the cd changer and I have the audio from my dvd player connected to it. If you want to watch the tv that bad, just install it somewhere in the front.
