I have a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado. Has the factory bose system, in-dash six cd changer, XM radio, and onstar. I really really want to put the GM factory Touch screen nav system in the truck... is this possible???
After looking on ebay looks like there are a ton of models to choose from. Which one would I need? I want to keep all my steering wheel controls also. Easy install? Dealer has to program it right?
One more thing, would like to have a back up camera to work with the system. Is this possible and what equipment would I need for the interface so that the unit shows the reverse camera when the truck is put in reverse?
Thanks!
Justin
I would try getting on some sort of Chevy forums.....they are a wealth of knowledge....I know you can take out the factory radio in a H2 and drop in their factory nave/touch screen system...the radios in both are identicle.....it just depends if you have the bose system or not. Just look for some forums and im sure you will find your answer there.

You need a Nav radio from a 2005 to get a touch screen. GM has a number of different Nav radios that all look alike but are not alike. You need a radio out of a full or mid sized GM truck that DOES NOT have a class II amp in it. They are also sometimes called a smart amp. Have your local dealer look up the part number for a 2005 vehicle like yours and find that part number radio. You will also need the factory GPS antenna and Nav disc. The dealer will have to set up the radio to work in your vehicle.
