I have a friend looking for a resonable indash mobile setup. Does not care what sixe of indash. Wanting to know different complete systems that are cheap but descent and one that is not to expensive but good. The truck that it is going into is a 99 yukon lx. Any out there yet that have the cd player built in yet? Or still have to buy a seperate unit for a cd/dvd/etc? Is it possible to fit both units in the factory location? Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Thanks Jeff,

I have been looking through ebay and found the alpine cva-1003 and 1005 pretty cheap. Also found the new emerson mt9000. All pretty reasonable prices. Are all indash cd/dvd/etc. players universal as far as inputs to these indash monitors via rca hook-ups and regular power connections?

The stand alone units are universal but some of the higher end units are only slave units to controller systems like Alpine & Panasonic.
