I have the above unit... I connected a Nav unit to it... Now I wish to remove the Nav unit, everytime I disconnect the wires from the Nav unit (the harness, and 16pin cable) The P6500 stops working... i.e. the screen opens up but the DVD nor the tuner work...

Any ideas? do I have to reset it or something?

I don't know much about that stuff if it's acting like that, then I would push the re-set button and if that dosen't work then go to: https://www.pioneerelectronics.com and download the free owners manual and installation manual and try to figure out the problem. I hope this helps
