Can anyone tell me how to change the Region on this player.

I don't think that is possible. I used to work for Sony and there was no way to change regions on their products. That feture is designed to prevent "gray market" products from entering the US and competing with domestic release products.

The player will only play DVDs that match the region code of the machine
