I'm using DVD shrink 3.2 w/ Nero engine to burn DVD-R. It plays fine on my JVC home dvd player but the Alpine IVA-D300 throws me an ERROR. What am I doing wrong?

I had that same problem. I have the Alpine IVA-900, I just burned it to a DVD-R first and it gave me the same error. I just copied it to a DVD+R and that fixed it. Hope the same works for you.

According to the owner's manual and Alpine's website. D300 only supports DVD-R/RW.
