Wiring headrest Monitors

My buddy wants me to install monitors in the headrests of his 04 or 05 Chevy pick up. He has bought the headrests that have the monitors built in already. Now my only questiion is this since i have never installed monitors in headr4ests before...I havent talked to him yet today to find out what brand they are so i am not sure if the wires are ran through the new posts. First of all, how do you remove the existing headrests and b) what is the easiest way to feed and locate the wires out the bottom of the seat. He does have leather seats so Idont want to damage those. Any help would be appreciated to make the install a success

Adjust the headrest all the way up. Then look for a small pin hole on the side of the plastic that sits on the top of the seats where the posts go in. You need to push in that pinhole, while pulling up on the headrest to release it.

"b) what is the easiest way to feed and locate the wires out the bottom of the seat."

If you get down and look at the back bottom of the seat, you will see a plastic latch that runs along the bottom that you can unlatch. They can be a pain to unlatch though so you may fight with it for a while if you've never done them before. Once it's unlatched running wires is cake you can pretty much reach your hand all the way to the top of the seat. Good luck,
