I'm trying to install a PS2 in my car (don't know why, it seems pointless now) but I'm getting horrible noise through my speakers when the HU is selected to Aux (Pioneer w/ RB-10) and the power inverter on and the PS2 on. I moved the inverter to the trunk too, thinking that it was giving away interference, but that still didn't work. I know this has been done it other peoples vehicles, but why won't it work in mine with minimal speaker noise.

Its a 150watt power inverter, and its not hooked up to a cigarette lighter, I cut the adapter off and wired it directly to the battery (hell would that be the problem?)

Make sure that the inverter is properly grounded as well make sure that the RCA wires from the PS2 in not run along side any power wires.

Also make sure that when putting the car back together you did not pierce one of the wires.  This was done on a "professional" install I had done once.  This royally srewed up the grounding.
