Monitor trouble with A/V input

Hi,

I am having trouble with my A/V input for my overhead DVD system. I have a Pyle PLRDVD10, which I installed this past weekend. I also installed a 12V power inverter and gaming port to be used for the A/V input. The DVD system works great, but when I switch to video2 (A/V input) and start up the play station the 'SONY' and 'Playstation' screens come on ok but when the game should start the screen goes blue with a black flicker once in a while.

OK so I figure I have an issue with the Playstation, I get out the old camcorder and plug that into the A/V input, turn it on and the picure comes up and plays, but jumps all over the place.

Any suggestions as to what is happening here?

Check your video rca's for video 2

And make sure your on NTSC not PAL

Where do you have the power inverter grounded to and also where is the power wire running to ?

nyvr6 the setting is on NTSC, not quite sure what u mean by checking rca's to video2? could u go a little more in depth?

Velocity - the power inverter is grounded to the body, and I have the power wire running to an accesory relay hooked directly to the battery

Change the rca your usiong for video for video 2 i.e. playstation and your camera

sorry ny, I should have been a little more clear the playstation and video camera were hooked up to the same connections, I just disconnected the playstation and connected the video camera. My reference to video2 was the A/V input, video1 is the dvd (all in one unit)

I understand that what im saying is you need to check the rca for video 2 if 2 sources are doing the same thing it would probably be that

Ok all, here is the latest, and now I am completely confused!! Just for sh**s and giggles I plugged in my sons Xbox and everything works great! Plug the playstation back in and back to square one! So it looks like he's stuck playing the Xbox on trips (poor kid, wish I had that luxury growing up!), but this just doesn't make sense to me?!?! The playstation works just fine in the house.......

What's going on here??

I have had the same problem with my Pioneer 5700 dvd the problem is the inverter what type are you using. I just recentyl purchased a Monster Power inverter and it has some sort of filter in it and I no longer get the lines or flickering. I was using a Vector that was only $50 then I got the Monster from my work for 30 . you can get the same deal at Fry's they put it on sale every once in  a while for 30 bucks . So change your inverter that filters out the bad signal you'll pay more but if you want games then you must spend the cash

Intersting jediraverz, I had never thought of the power inverter. I am using a 400w Accelevision inverter with a built in game plate adapter, paid $90.00 for it so I assumed it was a decent unit. I'll give the Monster Power inverter a try and see what happens.
