A customer came in and bought the pioneer 5700 he wanted it intagrated with his oem mv system in his 05 explorer. Now the oem mv system is power through the factory radio with a harness. I found the constant and switch in the harness but no ground. Now i wired those into the pioneer harness. The unit turns on and shuts off right away? What am i doing wrong? Is there something i need to goto ford about or will it not just work?

I've found that a lot of times the resistor on the ignition wire (the red one) will go bad and cause this problem. Test for power on both sides of the resistor to see if that's your problem.
