show i should disconnect the green wire from the brake wire and screw it to the dash/metal?

you can't, becuase whenever you shut off the deck it will require the parkbrake to be released and re engaged.

Just go ahead and connect your car harnest just the way it shows you on your manual. Once that is done, ground your LIGHT GREEN wire anywhere possible (NOTE: You may also connect the LIGHT GREEN wire to the BLACK GROUND wire from the unit. Keep in mind the LIGHT GREEN has that RED plastic uni-connection for something. The manufactures provided you the RED plastic uni-connection without being specific what it is for. Afterwards get any toogle switch and place it anywhere along the LIGHT GREEN wire. However,leave enough slack on the LIGHT GREEN wire. So it will allow you to place the switch any place you desire on your dashboard.

Yah What Velocity Motors just said.  I just wired it through a switch, and when you want to use it, you flip the switch twice.  I won't work if you just ground it.
