I have a AVIC-N1 installed in my center vents, i have a spot for a center stage speaker right above the center vents. A 3" speaker fits right there, but there would only be about and 1" or if lucky 2" from the magnet's distance to the AVIC-N1, my question is if the magnet can mess up the LCD screens?! i really don't wana test it to find out, i need to know, i don't think the speaker vibrations will mess it up, because the subs sure don't affect the thing.

thoughts on this would be appreciated.

went ahead and did some more research

LCDS are not damaged by magnets, yes i tested it on an older laptop then the avic of course, and no damage, and works great.
