Does anyone know how to make a car computer out of an old home computer I know that I will have to buy a touch screen monitor but what elese would I need to do this any help would be appreciated.

I have done this and it works great. The only thing you've got to do carfully is mounting the hard drive. Mounting flat will cause drive to skip, freeze up, and eventually go bad. You can't mount it vertically cause it doesn't a good suspention to withstand everyday driving. What I did was mount it nearly at a 45 degree angle in the enclosure I built. This seems to work pretty good cause after nearly a year I haven't han any problems. Moisture is also a big factor so be careful where you put it. Hope this helps.

better to go with a laptop.   Detach the screen when you finish the install, get an adapter if you need it for the seperate screen, or go ghetto and extend the ribbon using a Coil-type cable.  Hope it works out for you!
