Bought 2 LCD monitors for 2002 Ford Windstar from ebay. They are brand new but did not come with harness. Dealer wants CAN $151...I will install these on the headrest of my 2000 Odyssey. Please help with the following...
LCD wire codes..there are 4 wires coming out of LCD (Black, Green, Pink?, Clear/White) which is which?
How to install in the headrest. The monitor came with it's own casing. Can I invert display.
Thanks
the clear wire is hooked up to your center wire of your rca the green wire is hooked up to the outside wire of your rca, the blue wire I have no idea what this one is for. the pink is power the black is ground. I have one of these monitors hooked up in my dakota works great.
I think the blue wire is for the ER brake. You're not supposed to be watching TV unless you are stopped, so the BLUE wire goes to the ER Brake light wire so the unit will come on when the brake is applied.
I am not completely sure, but I know some of those LCDs have that "saftey" feature. IT can be bypassed though by hooking the blue up to a constant source.
Thanks guys for the help. I had it running on my test bench. As soon as I hook the pink(hot) and the black(ground) it's just a matter of guessing game for the rest of the wire. Darksyde...the green worked for me in the center wire of rca, blue on the outside...just left the clear unhooked...did u just use an all purpose multi-wire or bought the 100 dollar harness from Ford???? Where and how did you install it in your Dakota?
