Is there a way to format a dvd so that it plays in the avic d1? If there is not what is a good dvd player to add to the d1.

I don't know what format you could use to burn dvds to play in the D1, but the only two options I would consider are the Pioneer DVD changer (so you could use the D1 touch screen to control it) or a PS2 (preferably the slim).

I add the Audiobahn model#avdvdo5n dvd player to my unit it took about 5 min to do work great just can't control the dvd thur the d1 you will have to use the remote that come with the dvd player or use the button on the dvd player online with shipping i payed about 95.
