Hello everybody. Long time reader, first time poster.

Ok, I recently installed a d1 w/ a pnr1 sirius tuner, and I purchased a 5700 tv tuner yesterday morning.

Hooked everything up except the parking brake lead and when I power the d1 up, the tv icon is grayed out. I tried grounding the parking brake wire, no dice.

Is this an issue w/ the parking brake wire? Shouldn't the D1 at least recognize the tv tuner w/o the parking brake wire connected properly?

I called Pioneer tech support and their only suggestion was to hit the reset button on the tuner, which didn't work. If this is an issue w/ the parking brake, what kind of bypass is available?

It was an easy bypass for the D1, but for the tv tuner, will I need hook up an spst switch?

Thanks for the help guys.

If it isn't lit up, it means it doesn't recognize it at all.  Are you going (D1 to SIRIUS to TV) or TV tuner first and then sirius?  Maybe double check that the bus cables are plugged in properly through the chain, as well as the power and ground.

Make sure you're AV Bus cables are installed correctly and that you don't have AV bus in connected to av bus in in. you need AV bus out on the TV Tuner to go to the AV Bus in on the head unit.
