We purchased a Starvision DVD system about 1.5 years ago.  Has worked great until recently.  Our DVD player is about to not register a DVD at all.  It's progressively gotten worse.  At first, you could turn it on/off and it would eventually read it...but now, nothing.  The display says "LOADING" and you hear it trying to read the DVD then the display just registers "NO DISC".  I purchased a DVD disc cleaner but I cannot even get it to read this.  Has anyone had similar problems and if so what was a solution.  Are the units worth trying to take somewher and have it repaired?  Thanks!  Big trips coming up in November and December and my kids will wear me out if I don't get it fixed.  HELP!

Try the cleaner several times and try to blow the unit's tray area out with canned air. If still nothing, I would buy a new one. they are not that expensive.
