rostra precision controls: part # RPC-250-4165
gives a good vss signal that can be used for nav.

I installed one on my 05 frontier today and it works perfectly with my nav (pioneer avic-d1)

it came with instructions for hooking it to a cruise that rostra makes, but the tech guy told me this: put the blue to ground and the grey to the nav unit vss input. One magnet on the driveshaft and the coil about 3/4" away from it.

Were you not able to locate a VSS signal from any of the factory wire harnesses?
