Hi everybody. I recently installed a Kenwood KVT-717 and KNA-DV4100 on my 2003 Impala. I have connected all the wires including the VSS wire (Vehicle speed sensor--VSS WIRE--Dk.green--Pin-B5 on C3 connector at BCM ). I grounded the parking brake wire via a switch that I can turn ON & OFF when needed.

Problem--I don’t seem to get the Turn-by-Turn Guidance to work. I entered my destination address and it calculated the route. Everytime, I click "start", I get "the guidance will start when you enter the hightlighted route".. I am already on the hightlighted route but it doesn't seem to recognize it.
I think I have hooked up the VSS -Speed Sensor correctly coz i can get the correct speed read out. What am I missing?” Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

Thanks

I think it might just have to do with the location you are in. Some areas might not have guidance. Read this review about the DV2100. It talks about guidance vs mapping...

Sorry, my bad. After I hooked up the VSS wire I remembered I rerouted all the wires including the VSS and forgot to reconnect it. One thing I learnt is that if you connect the VSS wire to the KNA-DV4100, start your car and afterwards disconnect it you would still get the speed-read out. That’s what happened in my case.

Thanks
