Hi

Can anyone help i bought a 2nd hand alpine cva-1005 with brain it came with the brain harness cable, radio antenna cable, but no cable for the monitor cva-1005, i have made a cable for it and will be buying a new cable, but i cant get any power to the monitor, there is no sign of life, ive opened the monitor and checked to see if anything is blown no sign of damage, i checked just in case i got stiched up by the seller,

does anyone have any ideas why it wont power up, im connecting whilst the brain inst connected up, cause i just wanna check everything before i connect it all,

Anyone have any ideas as im out, its either the cable that is made by alpine has a function that converts the power or something or the monitor is blown

the monitor and brain have to be all hooked up to get the monitor to show or function, they also have to be hooked up to a good power source or they wont function either. hope that helps.

hi

cheers for the reply, when u mean a good power supply, the monitor would run from the car stereo power feed, and i guess i will have to run some cables to the ground and battery for the brain,  mind you i have a amp setup i could use those power cables/setup and check if that will fix the problem,

i didnt know you had to connect both brain and monitor just to get the monitor to power up, cause all i wanted to do was test the monitor and see if it works before i put the whole kit in, but like i said had no sign of life no lights, no power, nothing

I try it and let u know

Cheers
