What is the most common way that people do this? I want to do two headrest monitors plus my in dash monitor, in my new vehicle.  I want the rear seat passangers to be able to use wireless headphones for playstsation, movies ect.  Or if everyone wants to watch  the same video source I want to be able to play it straight through the system.  A little info about wireless headphones would be good too. ( where to mount trans mitter, and intergration into the system.  Thanks in advance,  Brian

It appears the best way to split the signals without degrading the quality is through a switcher.  Here is an example from Pioneer although there are many out there.

https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Pioneer/CDA/CarProducts/CarProductDetails/0,1429,512,00.html  This one has knobs and is too clunky for my tastes.

I am also told that you can put in Y-adaptors however you are sharing the signal between two or more monitors and thus degradation occurs.  This is not recommended.

Here is another a/v switch from a previous post:

I am looking for one with no knobs or selections to make, it just splits and amplifies the signal.

Oh yeah, some headphones from the Directed site as well:

Im told that the RF headphones are the way to go.  Better than the IR.  Audiovox also has RF headphones.

Where to mount?  Depends on the length of the cable and your vehicle.
