I just had the Eclipse AVN 5435 installed in my truck, I can't seem to find the VSS wire, the dealership faxed me a wiring diagram, but it was the incorrect wire. Does anyone know where the VSS wire is in the 2005 Cherokee? Is it hard to find?? I need help, I have spent so much money on this head unit and the custom work and the thing does not even work.

I have been told so many things. I had ECLISPE E-mail me back and they told me that I need to connect to the Green and Yellow wire found on the fire wall by the driver side.

The Navigation works, What do I need the VSS wire for?

GPS alone is generally not accurate enough to track a moving vehicle. Seems like nav systems utilize a variety of sensors to improve the accuracy of location. The various G-sensors, angular velocity sensors, and the Vehicle Speed Sensor are used in algorithms to fine tune the map position.

I don't have my VSS hooked up either right now, and it is not as accurate as my Murano that has the OEM Nav system. I am hoping the VSS wire will improve my AVIC performance when I get it hooked up.

Go to any wheel sensor and test for the signal follow the wire up into the engine compartment and tap it there. We have been doing this on the new magnum /300c 's for over a year saves a lot of time & $ . Also the can bus adapter is very fininky you must solder and get in certain location.
