I recently purchased a reverse camera from eBay for my truck. I don'y plan on using it a lot, but more of a novelty for a show truck i am getting together. Anyway, I cant get it to work. Honestly, i dont know if i am connecting it wrong or what. Below is a couple photos from the auction. Can someone break it down for me please. There are 2 wires, but no real instructions.

The yellow RCA connector is the video feed to a monitor. The other cable is the power for the camera. Use a ohm meter to check which of the two wires is the center conductor of the jack and which is the outer contact. Connect the wire for the center pin of the power jack to a 12 volt + source and the other to the vehicle's chassis for ground. Most vehicle's reverse lights are 12 volt +, so you can likely use that circuit to power the camera. That way it will only come on when you put the transmission into reverse. Check your vehicle's taillights to confirm that your reverse lights use a 12 volt + trigger. You can also power the camera from an ignition source and have it turn on/off through a switch if you desire.
