Hi,

I am really new at trying to install things in my car. I have a 96 Dodge neon and was wondering where i could put the PS2 in the car and where I could put the lcd screen?

I have not purchased a screen yet as I don't know which one to get. If there is anyone that knows a good screen to buy could they let me know?

I already have a power inverter and know that is how I would power the PS2 I just don't know where I would have to connect the video and audio cables to?

Thanks,
Tim

You can put that stuff just about anywhere.  I would try to get the ps2 under the passanger seat if it will fit.  Or the glove box is another easy place to get to it.  For the screen I would try to do a sun visior install.(on the passanger side)  Neat, out of the way, and nobody will know its there. If all you will have is the ps2,all you need to do is run the Yellow video cable from the ps2 to the input on the tv.  You will need to get a fm modultor to feed the sound into the radio.  All it does is take the audio from the ps2 and turns it into a frequency that the radio can pick up.  Then you tune th radio to that channel to hear the ps2 sound.  Your white and red wires from the ps2 will plug staight into the fm modulator.  Then you just hook it up to 12 volts and you are set.  Let us know how it turns out.   Bbrian

When installing the PS2 with a power inverter make sure you do the following thing to ensure a clean picture and clean sound:

  • run all power wires opposite side of the Video & Audio RCA cables
  • make sure that you run a short ground wire for the power inverter because the shorter the ground the less resistance you have on the circuit
  • use highest quality cables as you can afford for trouble free installations. This is very important if you want clean picture and clean sound
