I just got the Alpine IVA-D310 and ipod connector for christmas. Its really slow to get to any artist.

Now Alpine comes out with new headunit with iPod Full Speed connection. anyone else really bummed?

I guess this is what happens with car audio...

i was the same way. its terrible how slow the old system was. but even the new system, i wonder how much faster it will really be. it says full speed but i dont know. i know it has a percentage search, allowing you to jump straight to 3/4 way through your song list, so this might help. but still, i think i might just use an aux input, and control it through my ipod cause its sooooo fast using the ipod to change songs.

Anybody any idea when these headunits are going to be available in the UK??

There not on the Alpine-europe.com site yet and so sign in my local dealer, they hadnt even heard of them.
