i purchased a used vehicle with the alpine cva-1004. i was looking for used smart pro dvd software and am unable to find it. i can't pay $300 :0(

1) does anyone know any other available dvd navigation software that is compatible with the alpine unit.

2) can anyone recommend a used outlet/online service for a used smart pro navigation dvd (i've tried ebay and none available). thanks ahead of time.

i have my older discs at home, was your unit missing the discs? Im not sure if you are thinking that the cva-1004 has nav built in, cause it doesnt you have to buy the nav unit seperate, you cannot just play the dvds to have nav.

i assumed the dvd-rom plays in my dvd. so, there is a separate dvd unit? i have an option through the cva-1004 for navigation but the screen is black...so, i guess i don't have nav then???
