I have a 2003 Chevy silverado and I just added different mirror glass to the outside mirrors. The truck came with heated mirrors and I added the ones with signals and auto dimming drivers mirror. I need help with the wiring the auto dim feature. There are two wires on the mirror for auto dimm and on the wiring diagrm it shows pin 8 as day/night low reference and pin 7 as day/night signal. My truck has the auto dimming interior mirror so do I just connect the mirror wires to the terminals ?? I this that simple or am I missing something ?? Thanks for any help you can provide the newbie.

There's a little light dependent rissister in the mirror track the wiring from there

I have searched under Gentex and cannot find an answer to my question anywhere. I already have the auto dimming inside mirror and added the OSRV auto dim. Do I just hook the two wires on the mirror to the Day/Night signal pin and the Day/Night low reference pin in the drivers door or is there more to it. I don't think I need to do anything to the inside mirror do I ?? I know people that just added the whole mirror and they work fine, but they had the factory plug that goes to the drivers door and I don't because I didn't buy the mirrors new.
