hey whats up i have an 06 chevy silverado with steering wheel controlles. im putting in a pioneer avh-p5700dvd does anyone know the part number from pacific accessory corporation so i can keep my steering wheel controls? also is there anything i should be on the look out for when i install this or is it pretty straight forward ie cutting the dash, shaving some pieces ect. thanks

The part numer is swi-x. Use small green wire found in steering column harness. Use meter or airbag safe test light to get the right one ( should show low ground potential when ignition is on and high potential when you push one of the buttonson the wheel.  The only thing you have to watch for is depth when mounting the headunit. I usually have to cut behind to clear dbl dins. Gook luck and pm me if I can be of and further help. Also be sure to use an OS2-Bose or an OS-2 so onstar will continue to function.

Alot of times you just ground out the green wire then put a switch on it. After everytime you start your car you just flip the switch. its that easy.
