If I install this disc, will I retain all my "functions" that my N-1 will currently perform? Please note this is an N-1, and not an N-2, and direct questions about "you know what" aren't tolerated.
 Thank You.

No, you will lose the functions you currently have while in motion Preservedswine wrote:

it will update ur maps and make ur menus look slightly different, u will NOT get the hardware updates that include upgraded ipod and XM interface as that is ONLY built into the avic n3 hardware not software.

I applied the update on my N1, and it is way better however the DVD will be locked out on movement. The graphics and maps look better plus the menus are WAY faster.
