Can’t select Navigation

Hey all,
I am running a Pioneer AVH-P7500DVD head unit and I am attempting to add on an AVIC-80DVD navigation unit. I have it all hooked up, and there is an extra background that is coming from the Nav unit (So I know the head unit is recieving data from the nav unit) but I cannot select "Navigation" from the source list menu. It is not even lit up (as if there is no navigation unit connected). Everything from a hardware standpoint appears to be working properly, all lights appear to be on.

there's a button on the unit labeled V.SEL

push that button

ok, never mind, that's on the newer decks

reset the unit, then try it again.

thanks for the reply, I got it figured out... the nav button still doesn't work, but I had to push the "Menu" button
