Is there a good how to on flip downs? I know most people use a board between the the headliner and the roof but is that it, do they screw the wood into the roof? Thanks in advance Fred

no, the screws through the headliner are enough to hold it in place. If you really want, you can screw the wood in, but it's dangerous and not necessary.

Most flip down units have a metal base that slips between the headliner and the roof. This plate has threads on it that you use the screws supplied and it's very easy to do.

I try to incorporate at least one OEM roof beam in every overhead I do. Sometimes the TV gets screwed directly into the beam, other times metal brackets or wood will be screwed to the beam. It varies a lot depending on the vehicle.
